Post 1998 993 c2s

I have found a privatly owned 98 993 c2s for sale it has 12,000 miles motor sound, hi fi sound, supple leather and 18" turbo look twists. The owner wants $46,000 I probably wont be purchasing this car I would asssume someone on this board may be interested the car is black on black.

The car is in showroom condition and I personally think $46,000 is a pretty low price for this car. I can get the phone number. I saw the car today and it is quite nice

OK I'm ready to learn more Rob. Can you provide some more details? Would he take an offer of 40K subject to PPI>? (is 40k a reasonable offer, anyone?) Can you PM me his eml/contact info? These cars are soooo hard to find here....

PEACE,

EB

$46,000 sounds like a GREAT deal for a 12,000 mile, '98 C2S, unless there's something wrong with it.

If it sounds to good to be true (which this does), there is usually a reason.

Look at the miles, look at the year - then look at the asking price. They just don't add up.

Agreed - it should be substantially more. Mint and low mileage 1998 C2S's go upper $50's to mid $60's.....at least they did during my 8 month search that just ended recently.

Rob W and Eric B:

The guys are 100% right. This price range is WAY to cheap for this car. Be careful.

I bought my 1997 C2, same options as the car you describe, original owner, 18,000 miles, Arena Red and Classic Gray, hi-fi, 6 CD.... For $48,000 about 14 months ago from the Porsche dealer in Buffalo. There was 8' of snow on the ground and I KNOW I got the right price.

No way a year newer, wide-body, lower miles is going to sell for $46,000 (ish).

Watch out.

Has the car been lowered? If so it has also had paint and body work....If it is the same car, it has been on ebay for months....the last time he changed the photos and setting...

I think I still have the carfax....you get what you pay for <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

So, how bad was the accident it was in?
Or... how bad is the paintwork?
How much bondo was used?
So, it's a salvage title, right?

Like the other guys said, $46k?
Something's wrong in the Denmark, OR this is the steal of the season!!!

I'm sure there's a problem somewhere with this car, for it to be priced at $46k with such low miles for a 98.

I'll jump in and agree with everyone. That car should go for about $55k plus given the year, body style, color and mileage.
