Updated alternator pulley
It's 12.7-13.4V engine running with a brand new battery
Interesting perspective.
My 1996 C2 993 never goes below 13.5 volts even at idle.
My view is that at 12.7 volts, no charging is taking place, and at 13.4, a very slow rate of charge, not enough to sustain the battery. This undervoltage may impact electrical components in the car.
Keep in mind the alternator has to produce enough voltage to power all electrical loads in the system when the engine is running AND keep the battery fully charged. Not sure an output of 13.4 volts will cut it.
