Door Pins Undersized?
I pulled the doors off of my 993 to install new bronze bushings and hinge pins due to a slight sag on the drivers side. I reamed a new H7 8mm bore and everything went fine, the issue is that of the two OE pins, one was undersized the other fit fine. The first pin was 7.99mm, the second was 7.96mm so it fit waay too loose (the first fit nicely). I ordered another set of pins (4 to be safe) from a non-OE supplier and those were even worse at 7.94-7.93mm, am I not understanding the reaming procedure or something? Is there a supplier I should order from? It is really disappointing that basic things like dimensions on a fit critical part that is not cheap are not within spec.

First question, when you say it's way too loose, is that just "bench testing" it? With the bushing and pin in your hand or with the door mounted and both pins in place you feel movement? On the car, a 0.03mm difference on one of two hinges is likely perfectly acceptable.
If you're still concerned, I would stick with the OE pins and get a replacement bushing for the pin in question and ream it slightly under 8mm so the fit is consistent with the other.
