Post 993 TT tranny on ebay

can anyone tell me what would be the problem in purchasing this tranny? I know very little about this subject and would appreciate it if I can be enlightened to the potential problems of this conversion from 4wd to 2wd
thanks in advance

I think a C4 gearbox can be converted easily to a C2 spec. What scares me is once that intermediate casting is replaced, one would have to re-setup the pinion depth. That could get expensive..

Does anyone know the ratios in this model gearbox?

No one has an opinion on whether or not it would be a good idea to use this transmission?
