Default Can't find special V-belt tool

My tool kit did not come with the special 12 pt allen tool required to hold the alternator shaft bolt when changing belts.

The mechanic who did my PPI said I could find something similar at Sears. Its called a 10mm 12 pt star wrench. I have seen threads here saying it can be found at Kragens. I've gone to both places and they have no clue what I'm talking about. Calling the Porsche dealer they tell me I have to buy the entire kit at $395.

Where can I get this tool? Anyone have a spare that I can buy?

12 point allen tool part#999 571 052 02 is what you need. It about $10 or $20 from a Porsche dealer. I got mine from Suncoast Porsche.

Also called a 'triple square' wrench. I've bought them from the local autoparts store, though I did have to shorten it with a Dremel tool to get it in there.

Its a 10mm triple square. The one made by Snap-On fits nicely.

I wonder why my local Porsche dealer says it has to be purchased with the entire kit for $395?

Thanks Boris. Phil McGrath may also have one and he is a little closer to me. If that doesn't work out I'll let you know.

Thanks everyone.

I found a 10mm triple square at the local NAPA Auto Parts. They also carry the Gates V-Belt Gauge.
