I made a run from Portland, OR to Raymond, WA and back last Friday on business (hah!) on the back roads through the Coast Range in SW Washington and NW Oregon. This picture is of my car on the ferry crossing the Columbia River from Puget Island in Washington to Westport, OR. Fare is $3 ... the ride is about 10 minutes. I first rode this ferry in 1977 when I was a timber cruiser. It doesn't look much different today except for the new paint.
