Question Best Pricing for Weltmeister Airbox

Can anyone recommend a source for a Weltmeister airbox cover for my 993 in the carbon fiber finish. I'd also like to purchase a BMC F1 filter from the same place.
(This part is shown in Performance Products catalog as Ref.# 9606.)
Thanks in advance for the help.

AJUSA.com has the airbox with the BMC filter for $162.95. Here is the link http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/invento..._id=0000000105

Let me know if you buy one as to the difference in sound in the cabin of the car and whether there is any increase in performance. By the way, I have no affiliation with the company.

Just drill some holes in your airbox cover for the same effect. See how here

A varioram intake will muffle the effect a little.

Call Performance products at 800-789-1879 for the Carbon fiber style 993 Carrera CUP hiperformance airbox and BMC F1 airfilter. You will add 8-10 more horsepower, depending on other modifications, and have great sportscar sound as well and keep your Porsche 100% original.

The Carrera CUP hiperformance airintake lid is virtually the ONE & ONLY sure fire airintake system that add significant horsepower and sportscar sound to your Porcshe 993 or 964 at a good value and 15 minute installation.

The factory motorsound 993 airbox doesnt nothing more than add some mild induction roar and no more power. Cutting a few holes like EJ has done are not enough as the ENTIRE airfilter has to be completely visible to work to add the power and maximum sportscar sound. The welmeister Carrera CUP airbox has rain deflectors and drainage holes too......its foolproof and works great.

It was developed by my company Fabspeed Motorsport and is based on the original design by Porsche Motorsport Germany and allows any 911 owner to easily have more power and sportscar sound without destroying their airbox coverlid assembly. Its comes in Carbon Fiber color, Carbon Kevlar style and silver style or you can pinat it to match body color.

8-10 more horsepower? I find that incredibly hard to believe. If you can prove it I will buy one.

Hi George...if you would like to bring your car up for a dyno test/tuning please let us know. The horsepower range is a logical result because if one installs the Carrera CUP airintake coverlid system on a bone stock 993/964 they can feel the powergain in the seat of the pants and by virtue of a dyno test. Power is guaranteed and absolute. You must have a completely open airfilter system not just a few sundry holes.

Check the archives from real engine builders /tuners/ Porsche Germany for actual data.

In addition, free-flow hiperformance ( re:lower backpressure) exhaust systems magnify these gains as does some other induction tricks. All any normally aspirated engine is an atmospheric airpump that burns fuel/airmixtures. If you improve the intake side OR the exhaust side ideally the results are higher when you do both sides as what enters must exit as a system.performance airboxes and exhaust systems for Porsche

Before you spend your money, try this for free. Remove your air cleaner cover and hold the filter in place with clips. It may take some innovation, but you can figure it out. I actually used 1/2" socket clips, the clips that hold 1/2" sockets on socket rails. These are U shaped, and fit right over the edge of the air box, holding the filter inside. You can get a feel for the sound change and alleged performance improvement without parting with $$$.

I never claimed even 1 hp difference improvement - just much better sound.
