Question 3.8 L Upgrade

Anyone got dyno numbers for before and after on the hp and torque increase when upgrading to a 3.8L on the 993?

Hi Jimmy:

FWIW, the Euro Carrera 3.8 RS kit will make between 300-325 HP,......

This bundle is comprised of:

102mm P/C set
6 Complete big-valve heads
2 Lower intake manifolds (Varioram)
2 RS Cams
Single pulley & Hub
Sport Exhaust

The Euro RS DME will not work in American 993's so you'll need your DME remapped for this setup.

One should consider upgrading the rod bolts and valve springs at this time, if track use is anticipated. This makes these things pretty darned bulletproof.

IMHO, its VERY worthwhile when its time to rebuild the motor.

Hi Sean:

This is the Factory kit.

As a vendor, I do not post pricing in a public forum so you may e-mail me directly for that information.

Jimmy,

On a 1996 993 the RS kit delivers:
Before
Torque 4500rpm 330NM. and 280hp. at 6700 rpm. After
Torque 4500rpm 375NM. and 326hp. at 6700rpm.
The kit is smog legal and does not require modification to the control unit.

Pete
