I just had my rear glass replaced by the dealer to fix the third brake light (Porsche part). Now I'm noticing that everything I see behind me through the rearview mirror appears squashed. Makes your basic Taurus look like a race car.

I did not notice this with the original glass, but I seem to recall it from a 97 993 I had briefly.

Do all 993 rear windows do this? Is it a safety issue or just due to the shape of the glass?

When I first got my 993 I noticed that, I assumed it was the mirror.

Are you sure it has changed? My interior and both exterior mirrors have that 'feature'!

I don't think it's the mirror ... I definitely does not happen with the side mirrors, that's how I noticed it yesterday. And from looking briefly behind me this morning, the image through the glass is squashed.

I could be wrong, though. Often am.
