Post drip tube in left front fender?

I was backing the 1995 993 C4 out of the garage yesterday and noticed a small puddle on the floor of the garage. I looked under the car and saw a small drip tube just behind the left front wheel (in the wheel well, just in front of the drivers door). Any insight into what this drip tube is.

What was in the puddle? Water? Battery Acid?

The battery vent tube is in the left front wheel well, but it shouldn’t drip.

The A/C also drips when you’ve been using it for a while. I don’t think the drip tube is near the left front wheel, though.

Two things.

First, for cars without the update to the
cap on the brake fluid resevoir, the over
flow tube drains there.

Second and more noticable, this is the drain
for the gas filler area. Next time you wash
the car, open the cover and run a stream of
water in and see it drain. Good thing to check.

There is a tube for brake fluid overflow and may be drain tube from the gas/windshield washing fluid filling area. Maybe it's combined to one tube but anyhow, what IS the fluid on the floor?
Did it rain while you were driving/parked outside?
Someone else may have other info for you...

The characteristics of the dripping fluid:

Ever so slight greenish in color
slight smell of ammonia (brake fluid or washing fluid)
It evaporates over a period of 2 days
Feels slippery

I can tell you, its not gas, and its not drippage from the AC.

Assuming its brake fluid, why would it start to drop now, when a few days ago it did not. Is it because of the heat and the brake fluid is expanding?

If it’s green it must be antifreeze! (I need a doh! icon here...)

Actually, it’s probably your windshield fluid. There’s probably a leak someplace. Brake fluid is not green, wouldn’t evaporate in a few days, or smell of ammonia.
