As anyone installed the 6000k aftermarket HIDS over the 4300K?
What is the general opinion? Are the 6000K HIDS much brighter than the 4300K's ? Is it worth the extra money?? General information is that the 6000k's are bluer and brighter but I have personally not seen the 6000k's
Your opinions will be highly appreciated as I am taking the plunge into a HID updgrade on my car.
Thanks in advance

Take a look a the archives as there are extensive discussions about this. Bottom line on this topic is that the 6000K's are bluer, but at the expense of light output. So the 4300K's are the brighter light and is what I will soon be putting in my car.

I have the 6000K HID mostly for the "cool look" factor since it produces a purplish hue. If to do it over I would choose the 4300K and save about 40% in price difference.
Just my $0.02

I thought 86 cars had dual filament H4 bulbs...
If you have seperate high and low beam bulbs, then yes, it should be possible to do.
I would suggest you consider exacly how and where you will mount the ignitor boxes first though.
There will also be a little playing about with the wiring too. I'm not too familair with the headlight arrangements on your car, so can't help any further.
(FYI I have also fitted HIDs to my VW Corrado
)
Best bet is to look in the archives for HID posts.
As to the 6000k or 4300k, I posted a response from the guys at Autolamps. The MD used to work for Philips, and stated as Chris mentioned, that the 6000k jobs are bluer but at the expense of a little light performance.
Hope that helps.
