The best stuff they can get because they can afford it. You don't need it; CV joints nowadays are lifetime items unless the boot breaks (based on my '84 Carrera and '95 993 experience).

Ray is right on,......
Professional racers use some special (and VERY expensive) synthetic lubricants in these highly stressed parts but you cannot go wrong with Swepco #101 Moly grease.
No matter what product you use, these items need attention after every race, depending upon how much power you are putting through them.

Dupont makes KRYTOX and I once read about how much better it is than other greases. The stuff was super incredibly expensive and toxic but was suppossed to be incredible. There are several types of Krytox for variuos applications. Dennis Aasse (spelling) used the material in his 993RSR CVs and should have knowledge and feedback.
Have a great day

I've used Krytox for 4 years now, and its nasty stuff to handle.
You MUST have neoprene gloves, be in a well ventilated area and a special Miller-Stephenson solvent to clean ANYTHING that its touched.
Its great stuff and has solved many CV problems.
