Tom, Great tip on the relay. Just a couple of questions for clarification, if you would:

The relay's only function is the "intermittant" operation? ...so the wipers will funtion normally in the slow and fast positions? And what will the wipers do when the stalk is placed in the intermittant position? TIA!

Your wipers will work normally in the fast and slow. I didn't try intermittent. But when you turn them off, they will not automatically return to the bottom of the windshield. They stop were you turn them off. This is how we can get them to sit on the passenger side. Just a little practice with the timing.

O.K., I pulled the relay out this morning, and as Ron & Jim noted, the wipers
"parked" too high on the passenger side. I just loosened the nuts and moved the arms down. They now "park" as low on the passenger side as they did on the drivers side. This is a great mod - easy & cheap!

Sounds great but what nuts did you loosen? (No wise cracks necessary)

OK I did this DIY on Sat. and the nuts you loosen are the ones that hold the wiper arms onto the shaft on the car. In addition to moving the the wipers down on the passenger side, I also swapped the positions of the arms so that they mirror the position they were in on the the driver's side.

I jumped into this mod this morning... thought I'd do it the right way by removing the nut and rotating the arm 180 degrees. First thought, as I started, was "you must be joking, no way!"

After 1/2 hour, second thought was "no way to get in there, you must be joking".

Last thought before I gave up? "Ouch, I'm bleeding, and there's still no way to touch that nut!!!!"

I then pulled the relay, readjusted the wiper arms, and it looks beautiful. Thanks to the great suggestion.
