Wheel speed sensors usually don't go bad. Have you removed it and cleaned the pick-up area (it's passive and can collect crap)? The part is ~$130 at the dealer but I may have one in my parts collection that was removed for cosmetics that you can have (family deal), I'll let you know.

I had Tim @ Euroquipe check it out and he said there was a short in it. It's one of the front ones. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the front & back.
Supposedly Porsche changed the sensors in late 95, and depending on which version you have, I'd probably need a pair.
If you have a pair laying around, that would be great.
