"I am getting about 2.5 front to 1 rear on the pads. I am running rs-14 pads "blacks" though"

That is in one weekend eh? Bill is one of the guys that makes me look like im in a Jetta on the track... I'm not sure the bias will change, but the grip will be stronger because of the pad material. If I cant find anything wrong with the system and the 60 bar valve does not do what I want, Pagid blacks in the rear will be the next step. By the way, for the track, I dial the PSS9's in to the #2 setting front and back (2nd hardest setting) This works great for technical tracks like Gingerman.

Yes, Eric, please let us know how it turns out. I also read that page where the guy removed his limiter and crushed his rear pads. That's why I'm glad you've decided to take the lead on this experiment.

In the meantime, here's some additional information regarding brake components:

See you around!

Yea Eric I guess bias is the wrong term. You should get more grip on the backend with the blacks. This should put less stress on the front brakes and even out the wear a bit.

When are you going to change the valving on your car. I may actually have to go the other way if my backend keeps locking up.

I just wanted to chime in and confirm what Bill V. is saying. I had a 993 with 993 TT brake calipers and rotors installed on a track only 993. We removed the p/v completely and got much better brake pad wear and, more importantly, much better braking performance. I highly recommend following Bill’s advice.

Is an adjustable bias valve called for here? I assume the PV is the same thing, only non adjustable? If you had an adjustable valve, it seems like you would be able to set the rear brakes at any point that feels right?

Just a thought - I know most purpose built race cars have them.
