Seriously - good point... I HATE banner ads flashing all around the messages, which most sites do - even in the "borders" (it's crap advertising revenue) - and since I'm more an enthusiast then a site owner who "must make money NOW" - I place what I'd want to see - rather then be driven by "OMG - I have $$ revenue".

I always get a chuckle on the other sites when I read "The Worlds Largest Performance Car Message Board" with about 2500 users registered. If I'm not mistaken - Rennlist is the largest with nearly 26,000 folks and over 250,000 unique visitors per day........ Not counting the 82,000+ on the e-mail lists.....

For all that.....

I would rather have one tasteful NON flashing banner at the top, like the PAG or the IRA ad. Do I lose sponsor money? Heck - I dunno - probably - but I don't care..

On the new Forums which will be brought on line next week - with a LOT of new features, maybe I'll just bold out the Sponsor link at the top??????

However you decide to do it is fine by me. I hate flashing ads on websites, too, BTW.

This site is great because of the work you do in keeping it in it's tasteful state it is in. All I'm trying to point out is that perhaps you can make the sponsor link a bit more pronounced somewhere. It could be on each page or it could only be on the 993 main page. Whatever you think is keeping with how you feel the site embodies your ideas.
