Phil,
Check the hole placement on the new pedals. The set I have (Rennline) had pre drilled holes that matched up with the stock pedal rubber. I have not seen Techart set up but take a look, you may not have to drill

Eric,
The techart's have predrilled holes. Are you saying the "stock" pedal under the rubber pad, has a pre drilled hole?

If I remember, the stock rubber pads have small screws holding the rubber on. The pedal set I have screwed over the top of the stock rubber with the supplied screws. I dont think you need to take the rubber off.

I suggest using a sharp drill bit. I started with an older bit that did more burning than it did boring.
I had to drill the cars pedals (since they have no holes in them) to then bolt on the aluminum pedals.
The rubber pads are now in my extra Porsche parts box.

When I installed my pedals I went out and bought two brand new drill bits - one that was the right gauge for the size of the hole that I needed, and a second that was much smaller as I wanted to pre-drill the hole. I also used a punch to mark where I wanted to drill.

The combination of using a punch and a new, sharp small drill bit for your initial hole makes the job easy. I installed my pedals in less than 20 min.
