Post First real drive: Feels like summer in Ohio

I couldn't resist today. It's getting up to 38 for Christ's sake, it's a heat wave!

Picked up my new 993 Cab from the shipper in Cleveland on Sunday. The 30 mile drive home was not all that enjoyable. Stressed because I had no plates, no title in my hand yet. The roads weren't the greatest either. We made it home a little dirty but all in one piece.

Then we got hit with a snowstorm, so no thought of taking her out until today. Roads are relatively clean and dry and I need to give her a bit of a bath before sub-zero temps hit again this weekend.

So after convincing myself to do this, I moved the child seat over to the Porsche and prepared to head out. My daughter seemed to really like it. She was in a position to look out the window and also much closer to me. It was also suprisingly easy to get her in the seat. Easier than our four door Volvo! Hmmm.... maybe I could talk the wife into a Carrera 4.

Anyway, after my first "real" drive, I can tell I'm in love. I hated to shut her off at the end of the commute. Guess what I'm doing for lunch!

Thanks to everybody here who helped in my search: especially George in Texas and Michael in North Carolina, both of whom were gracious enough to check out cars for me.

Now I'm counting the minutes until lunchtime. <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
