And some people would have you believe 993 owners have no sense of humor.

But I have one question--do DEs in England run in the opposite direction since the passenger is on the other side?

TIA

Bob,

The only way to know if the fun has been driven out of the car is if the warning light comes on during a test drive. It is in the clock section of the dash and looks like two pulleys hooked together.
Also, if you want a 993 with water cooling and low miles, go to the dealer and ask him for a 2003 model. They also come with seat belts, just in case you want to off-road your porsche.
Most DE instructors can be found in the big city area where you live, they look like they're dressed in Halloween Costumes (Shiny small clothes), and they walk around a lot, looking for people to teach.

oh, and you should probably ask what it costs for "instruction", since that varies.

And when driving a 993, always use protection

That's called English DE.

Thank you Finn... the result of not proofing a reply.

I do indeed know that only the Brits drive on the wrong side of the road. Everyone else in Europe does what the French do.

Except of course the Finns and Swedes who drive on top of the snowbanks. Here in America of course if there is snow on the East Coast, they don't drive on the snowbanks, they stop driving.

Also here in America, snow is something else entirely on the West Coast.

(Have I left anyone out?)

((BTW, who's Phil McGrath?))

No - I'm pretty sure he should contact Phil McGrath. Maybe he could borrow Phil's copy of "Sybil." That should answer most of Bob7's questions. <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />

Greg

What is proper etiquette for tipping an instructor?

I don't think it would be along the lines of what you tip a cabbie, after all, you did all the driving.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you yell out in a firm, but calm voice, "Oh sh*t, the car's gonna roll."
