Poll: Which wheels should I keep
Personally I do not like either, but if I had to pick it might be #1. I really do not like #2, sorry. Not sure about the chrome comments above. I have seen some really nice chrome wheels on dark colored cars that really accent the cars looks without being ugly. Things hanging from the mirror or in the rear deck not required ;-0
You might consider getting other wheels like some BBS, HRE, Kinesis, or Fikse to name a few. They have some really nice designs that far exceed the stock and optional Porsche wheels.

I don't understand why you would care about the personal preferences of a bunch of cyber strangers regarding the aesthetics of your car. You should get whatever looks best to you & pleases your taste.
FWIW, I don't like chrome wheels (tacky), the Sport Design wheels (too busy), carbon fiber or aluminum dash trim, beets, brussels sprouts, and a bunch of other things. That doesn't mean you should.

Beets, brussels sprouts, and chrome wheels are another matter. Dan is right - who cares what others think? Stick with what appeals to you.

Thanks for all the positive comments on chrome wheels
I can't wait to get my NEON kit and my GOLD license plate frame Try being a little more opened minded. The Techart Wheels that I have are lighter than 75% of the aftermarket wheels I looked at and I don't really think I will have a problem with rusting.
Keep in mind not everyone wants to look like every other Porsche on the road.

GTR 993 I love those wheels. The black ones they have on the techart website are lust material for me. I just took a new consulting job so I can buy a set without upsetting the wife (too much).
"Chrome wheels don't belong on a Porsche" someone better wake James Dean from the dead and tell all the other old time Spyder drivers they made a mistake.LOL
I think you should go with option 2. I don't like the chrome look on those wheels with your exterior color. I have seen some cool crome and or highly polished wheels in different designs but not on the twists. Just my opinion.
For a second I thought I had mistakenly been linked to one of the roadfly forums I read and someone was ordering a new 330ci and wanted to know what color combo was best...I digress...
I think this thread needs the help of Jimbob.
