Post 993TT oil change

I have a question for you guys, how much should an oil change be for a 993TT. I got quoted about $175-$200 from aPorsche dealer and about $200 from an independent shop. Does this sound right

It is very possible.

11 quarts of Mobil 1 at $5.99 / quart is $66
Oil filter set (2 of them) around $24
and 1 hour labor at $95 / hour

Adds up to $185

What are you doing up so early (7:40 AM) reading the Rennlist already?

Get a life!

Turbo needs a total of 4 crush washers for an oil change. You need to drain the oil on each turbo that then seal with a crush washer on the drain plug.

viperbob is right. In addition, you need to verify that each turbo drains the same amount of oil. If not, that may indicate a problem with the turbo seal.

Here is my updated DIY ( based on Robin's DIY ) for TT's.

Thank you everyone for your advise and help.

I decided to take the car to the P-Car dealer, because I still have about a month of warranty left on the car. I took the car in over the weekend (Jack Daniel Porsche Paramus, NJ) to get the oil changed and it cost about $200. I took it in so that they can check the whole car over, and it pass with flying colors. The only thing they saw was a missing lug, which I had in my possession because I wanted to order a polished set, other than that the car didn't need anything else done (knock on wood). I will try to do the next oil change myself. Thanks again
