Bra for '98 C2S with Aerokit?
I'm going to my 25th high school reunion in August, and will be taking the Speed Yellow '98 C2S I recently acquired.
It's only a 3 1/2 hour drive, but I'd like to purchase a front end bra for the car to keep off the bugs, and more importantly, avoid any rock chips.
My car has the factory Aerokit. Does anyone here know who sells a nice bra that will fit a C2S with the factory Aerokit?

Heard more good things than bad re: bras e.g. scratching paint, clouding paint etc. etc. I wouldn't bother ..... and in fact don't, so if anyone wants my colgan bra, pls. email me.
If you really want to protect the paint, it seems the best way is the various forms of clear film that affix to vulnerabel areas.
Chris
OOOPS - OF COURSE I MEANT MORE BAD THAN GOOD

From personal experience with a bra (well, on the nose of the 993) , I'd agree totally with Chris. 3M film better way to go.
"Only a 3 1/2 hour drive"??? You've never taken this car on a long trip? For shame!

I have seen the 3M film on a friend's white 996 in Colorado - it was almost imperceptible. I wonder about how it would look on a dark color? My car is Arena red.
Personally, I have never had any problems with the bra on my '85 casuing problems, except for time I left it on after a rain, and it fogged the paint. That does go away by itself after a while, fortunately.

One data point on 3M on a "dark color" car. MY 993 is Adventurine Green - a somewhat dark metallic green. Farther than about 6 ft away, can't see it unless you're really looking.
If you're trying to decide how it looks, look at your clear stone guards in front of the rear wheels. This is same clear 3M protectant except for silver metallic cars (they have a tinted version).
