Mounting European "Air Horns" on US Model?
Anyone ever mounted the Euro style "two tone" horns in their US model? I'd love to have a more muscular sounding horn...don't know if it is an easy DIY or not.

Curtis, I have to agree with you that the stock horn is pretty wimpy. Although I rarely use my horn, I'd like to know that it's audible when I need it.

The older trumpet style horns were discontinued worldwide on all Porsche cars starting with MY '96 to meet noise regulations in certain countries. You can still buy the old horns from the dealer (US or ROW) and install them yourself. You will need the following parts for a factory type installation:
911.635.101.20 High-pitched horn
911.635.102.20 Low-pitched horn
993.635.103.00 Bracket
900.114.010.02 Washer x 4
900.377.001.02 Hexagon nut M6 x 4
N.011.006.8 Hexagon nut M6 x 2
911.635.101.20 High-pitched horn
911.635.102.20 Low-pitched horn
993.635.103.00 Bracket
900.114.010.02 Washer x 4

Interesting. My early MY 96 has the 2 trumpet horns. I didn't realize later cars had different horns. That said, I find the trumpets to be pretty weak compared to most other car horns.
