Default Source for Factory Tool Kit?

Anybody know of a source for a factory tool kit, and typical pricing? I've searched the archive and looked at online suppliers, but haven't found anything useful.

I stopped by Mindover Motorsports and got a quote of $360.

Any other help would be...helpful.

Try ebay or classified at local PCA regions.

(That didn't take long.)

Here is a 996 factory tool kit on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=42614

Does anybody know if it will work for a 993? Particularly the lug wrench?

Thanks!

Factory toolkit is pretty worthless. Do you want it to actually work on your car or just to be complete??

(Note, this is for my wife's car.)

Main thing: I want to make sure we have a workable tow eyelet in case the car ever needs to be winched onto a flat bed. Second, I'd like to have a working lug wrench for the AAA guy to use if she gets a flat.

Completeness is a consideration, but tertiary.

Then why not just buy the tow eye (99672115100 = $13.31 @ Pelican Parts) and an extending handle wrench.. (i think I paid about $15 at Kragen). This has four sizes for different lugs 17mm, 19mm and 3/4 and 7/8ths (IIRC).

Much cheaper than the whole thing.

Don't forget a cheap screwdriver to remove the tow hook cap either.
