Default Would these Techart rims fit?

Hi guys,

Asking this on behalf of my dad.

Would a set of 18" Techart Performance Racing rims with offset ET 42 (front) & 47 (rear) and width 8" (front) and 9,5" (rear) fit a standard body 993 with M030 chassi without rubbing?

Appreciate any advise.

Ciao,

Johannes E.

Nope, they won't work. They will stick out very far from the fender lip and will likely rub. You need 52 in front and 65 in the rear.

the rears would have a better chance of working on a widebody. ( narrow bodies rears use a 65mm offset with 10" rims, and 55 mm offset with the 9"" rims.)
the offsets and widths of those Techarts make me think "Boxster"

That's funny because Techart recommend these sizes on their webite www.techart.de but I agree, it sounded to be too low offsets and I felt I had better ask the experts rather than listening to the salesguy.

Not to create confusion but I think they may work. Although I have a 993, my front wheels are 18x8.5 45mm offset so it seems to me that a 18x8 42mm may work. I also ran a 18x10 61mm with a 14mm spacer, net 47mm offset on a narrow body 964 with rubbing so the 18x9.5 may work.

With all that said, I think Max is right about the wheels sounding like the Boxster sizes and offsets.

It will be tight an it depens on what kind of suspension set up you have (how low & how much negative camber) but they should fit.

Go ahead and measure:

-Fronts will "stick out" 25.7 mm more (inside 0.3 mm less)
-Rears will "stick out" 29.35 mm more (inside 16.65 mm less)

Obviously there's always some differences in these car, for example other side wheels usually "stick out" more than the other, that's how it's designed.
