Post constant whirring fan noise

Hi all,

In the last couple of days I've noticed a constant whirring noise (like a fan) audible in the cabin and seemingly coming from somewhere around the right/front of the car. I'm not sure if it was there before and I just didn't notice it so I'm wondering if it's normal or not. It is not the heater/vent fan, I turned that off and the whirring is still there. My car is a 97 C2.

Should I be worried/have it looked at or is it completely normal?

Thanks,

Steve

Does it sound like an old analog alarm clock? Kind of a motor grind. My 95 does the same thing, haven't a clue. It only happens 50%.

The sound is part of the climate control system. I don't know why it stays on longer than other times.
