Default Sorry About the Outage.....

I upgraded the circuit, new router, changed the firewall, and pulled in the DSLAM port to affix the new IP off the router from the CO and rebundled the circuit.. Was suppossed to be a 3 minute outage - so no one would notice...

So much for that..

I'm back up and running - I think....

Ah, that's OK...you know the biggest cause of unplanned outages? Yah, that's right....planned outages!

Cheers!

I'll bet Jen just loves it when you talk like that ...

As for me, I assume all that stuff means ... Rennlist's gotten even better

John did you have any scalar waves? Or did you put inside a faraday cage?
I hope your RF emmisions arent sterilizing you. But at least you've created a seemless snythetic environment for us which is important in todays modern integrated battlespace arena.

John, next time try reconnecting the funzwap to the schnarkoff, that enables you to by-pass the whole dingledronphen pathway, clearing out excess tharnsthuip, thus improving overall unthaseupth performance.

I'll post a more complete DIY if you would find it helpful.

Addison thats a line I picked up from all our management BS pep talks we get every 5 years the Navy decides to reorganize. I gone through this 5 times in my 21 years of service and it never ceases to amaze me with the BSbuzzwords the management comes up with every time we have a
"paradigm shift"

I have it too. It's been going on all day today. Just about every other click either hangs on the same page forever or goes to the not found message. Also, I just notice the clock is about 10 minutes behind.

Some of you folks are pretty *funny*.... Not...

Well - in case you are wondering....... I'm working on the routing tables, routers and MACs "on the fly".... See......

At the CO, the MAC addresses bind and are created by, and then held in the ARP table. Changing routers on a new slot in the DSLAM - the MACs are still held in the cache - and continue to forward that IP to the old routing tables - WHICH are also the old routers. When you create the routing bundle on a contigious IP block (like the ones I have, which are /26), the ARP overwrite can't happen without a re-boot of the DSLAM.....

Sooo - next week - I'll create a new routing bundle, and schedule in a re-boot of the DSLAM between 2AM and 4AM - and switch over to the new routers/gateways...

And - you thought changing spark plugs on a 993 was difficult????

And no - I'm not making this up.. And for that - nope, no scalar waves and no need of a faraday cage. However, I am pretty sure that the RF emmisions are sterilizing me.
