Yeah, my spoiler definitely raises up. Here is a pic of my 3 tails.

Rand, your description sounds very much like driving a Tip.

I love to hear that sound, probably the two most distinctive car sounds are the air cooled 911 and a Ferarri.

I had one for a week and returned it do to issues other than performance. I am seeking another one and looking to trade my NA 996 for one. The NAs just don't do it for me anymore. I have gotten spoiled by the boost and the suspension. My Ruf is awesome though for a NA aspirated and it runs 4.6 to 4.7s 0 - 60. Not bad for a cabriolet with 18 inch wheels and 200 pounds in stereo gear. Here is the cabs weight plus a 60 pound sub box that is removable that goes on top of the rear seats.

I dont agree. 996 TT is quicker laso in Nyrburgring and Hockenheim (F1 track).

996 TT Nyrburgring lap time 7.56
360 Modena Nyrburgring time 8.09

So, TT is quicker everythere...

The times I have seen for the 996 TT around the various tracks are pretty suprising. Quicker that GT3 mk1 and right on the heels of the GT3 mk2. Add a chip and suspension and the 996TT gets even better. Here a few times I have seen:

Nordschleife:
GT3RS: 7:47 PZero Corsa
GT3 Mk2: 7:54 PZero Rosso
GT3 Mk1: 8:03
GT2: 7:46
Turbo: 7:56

Hockenheim:
GT3RS: 1:11.8 PZero Corsa
GT3 Mk2: 1:13.2 PZero Rosso
GT3 Mk1: 1:14.9
GT2: 1:12.6
Turbo: 1:14.6
