Default Easy homelink install in the 993!

I hate openers clipped to the visor, especially with a cab. So I bought this golf cart homelink thing with intentions to pop out the headlight leveling blank and install it there — only to find out the blank is actually molded in the dash in my ‘95! Not looking to cut the dash.

So instead I used a couple strips of 3M mounting tape and stuck it to the inside of the door pocket.

fwiw, it looks like it would fit in that blank if you have one or are willing to cut the dash. It is def too large to fit a center console blank (where locks/sunroof/etc are located).

I got it on Amazon.

Forgot to say — the module is battery powered and they claim the battery lasts for years. No wiring required!

This is cool! I already reach into my door cubby to use the garage remote.

I wonder if it will fit in the unused dome light frame under the headliner above the rear view mirrior?
