I have a 6 year old single din Sony 7 inch touchscreen in my 993. It works fine, but is dated. Screen needs to be brighter, reflective when light is coming from the rear, Apple CarPlay only via USB. I'm looking for a unit that does Apple CarPlay via bluetooth, has a bright screen no more than 9 inches, voice control, and will accommodate my backup camera. Porsche classic is a non starter due to tiny screen size. Also, music and radio are not high priorities. I usually drive to the music of my flat six and Fister Stage 2s.
So far I've looked at Pioneer and Jensen, and each has its drawbacks. Does anybody have a contemporary single din unit that they are happy with and would recommend?
This one is cheap but sounds bad. Looks good Alpine is what I’ve settled with. It has a cd player and its amp runs rear speakers. High quality unit Compact 8 inch powered sub under passenger seat
Small 2 channel amp under drivers seat runs front speakers I had this one and it lasted only 6 months. Repair shop said out of warranty and non serviceable so I threw it away

This one is pretty clean looking, and they sell a small Porsche sticker that can cover the manufactures name. Most people would probably assume it was stock. BERGVILL F/X (bergvillfx.com)
Definitely not Jensen. Find an Alpine or Kenwood. Simple as that. Funny.. I was buying a tv recently and all the reviews were pointing me towards Hisence. I wanted a better brand so I got a Toshiba later to find out it’s made by Hisense

Alpine in my 1996. Sounds great, with Bluetooth, USB (receptacle in glove box for old school ipod classic), and
JLAUDIO amp, speakers and dual 8” subs.
