If you don't live in CA, you don't have to pay the tax. The dealer can deliver the car too you in AZ, or whereever, on a dealerplate. The dealer will have to have a notarized paper stating he delivered the car to you out of the state. If you email me, I will get you the forms you need, and fax them to you. If you email me, I will get you the forms you need, and fax them to you.

I think I'll mosey on down* to AJ's in the AM and take a peek at this car. I an curious about the tail...it doesn't look factory to me a la the Aero Kit 1A or B.

mosey on down* = drive down there for you non Westerners (USA that is)

Chris,

The car looks good in the pictures. I did notice the rims in the first picture do not seem to be the rims on the car in the rest of the shots. Not that it would make any difference whatsoever, but it may be worth a question. Hope you've found your dream car!

PS: I don't think you should have to pay CA taxes. BTW you can avoid CA sales and use tax if you purchase and register a vehicle in another state and keep it there for 90 days. Then register it in CA and there's no tax.

Ok... Here is the deal with the California taxes. If you show up at AJ USA and drive the car away, they are forced to charge you the sales tax. You can then apply to the California DMV and get a refund.

However, if they ship the car to you out of state, you pay your local State's tax only, and California collects zero. (No sales tax in Oregon!!!

That looks like a 993 Turbo "S" tail.

I agree with Eric... the top picture has different rims than the two pictures below. Better call them and confirm which rims you are getting.

It also looks like it has the 'Motor Sound' airbox because of the chromed air inlet.

Boy you guys are good. Yes the dealer got the car with aftermarket wheels, but didn't think they looked right and put a set of Turbo twists on instead (which I happen to like alot). I am going to pick which set I ultimately want on the car.

Strangely the wheels in the first picture look like they are the wrong offset as they seem to stick to far outside the wheel well. This would be bad because this car will (fairly) promptly recieve the M030/Bilstien HD treatment

I know the wing was put on after the car was purchased, but don't know which owner yet (I think there have been 3). The Carfax shoes a nice progression in miles, so no "unknown" spots, no damage, no gotchas.

Martin, if you can take a peek for me I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks! I'm going to have Black Forest do the PPI.

You can also tell that they are hollow spokes if they have a metal valve stem, instead of a rubber one.

Just in case my not so private message doesn't get through, I am posting it here. Also, when I saw the car today and talked to the sales guy, he told me that John at Black Forest really liked the car. John is very picky so this is good news.

I saw the car this AM, 6.8.02. Sweet car..it has the 993 Aerokit 1A Tail and side skirts, they look to be factory. The car has not been cobbed up by any Boy Racers. I understand that you guys have sealed the deal. Do you want me to drive it out to ATL for you ?...I would but I can't take 4 days off work.

In closing, very clean car. You are going to love it. Also in keeping with the theme of the car, consider installing the Aerolit 1A front splitters. The car is not right without them, in my humble opinion.

Also, the PSS9 treatment will help or the M030 wityh the Bilstein shocks/struts.

Warning, you are on a slippery slope now...join the rest of us in our free fall to happiness, albeit a littles less $ in the bank.

I saw the car in person about a month ago while I was mosey down for lunch around the area. It had 18's Gemballa wheels which is similar to Artec Turbo-P but they may have switch the wheels since there was a guy wanted a cabriolet with that set of wheels. The car looks clean.
