Default There's a new FOB on the block

It was mentioned in another thread the other day, so I thought it would be a good time to formally introduce our new low-cost 993 key FOB, the F1. It’s a complete redesign that uses modern components to reduce complexity and cost while preserving the familiar look, feel, and functionality of the original. With OEM FOBs costing up to $374 and built with obsolete components, the F1 is intended to be an affordable and sustainable alternative for the 993:

Whether you're replacing an old FOB, adding a spare, or simply want the latest technology, the F1 is worth considering. It’s now available in a 315MHz version for US and Canadian 993 models. Price? $139.95. Bundled with an IMMO BLOCK purchase: $69.95. Programming is free with purchase.

A 433 MHz version for Rest of World (RoW) 993’s will be available soon, along with a clonable version that if lost or damaged, can be replaced with one that doesn’t require re-programming.

Check it out at www.EZimmoblock.com.

Can you explain the programming aspect? Is this the same code you that you do with the key in the ignition or am I confused as usual?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,
Yes, it's the same ignition key procedure you use to program (pair) the OEM FOB. As you may know, some 993's can't do the procedure due to issues with the ignition switch, so we offer free programming with purchase of the F1. If you don't have the PIN and the dealer can't get it for you, we offer a PIN Code extraction service. The immobilizer has to be sent to us to do this. -Jay

Beautiful, the factory immobilizer system and fob are terrible imo.

I hate to be that guy, but “fob” is not capitalized, it isn’t an acronym.
