Don't take it to the dealer.
It is usually the switch.
The console can be wiggled out with a flat head screw driver.
Then pop the switch, take it apart, and clean the metal contact point.
Take your time and you can do it.

I've had my sunroof get stuck open a couple of times. My shop guy told me to wiggle the panel a bit (didn't have to push very hard), which is easier when it's open vs. closed, and that took care of it.

I had the same problem. I removed the relay and plugged it back in and it works fine.

Can you hear the motor working at all when you depress the switch? If so, then it is a mechanical issue- most likely a broken cable. There are many threads or Rennlist on cable replacement... If not, try the suggestions above regarding tracing an electrical prob. Best of luck!

I had a problem with it being "stuck" open. Turned out to be the contacts on the switch.

Perfect timing on the post as I just noticed yesterday that my sunroof didn't work. Thanks.

So I go out to the car again to check my sunroof...Turn the key to on (didnt start it) press the sunroof switch and nothing. No noise , no movement nothing. I fiddle with the radio, open the window, close the window, press the sunroof again nothing. then I pop the bonnet, pull out the relay, blow it out, reinsert, try the roof--nothing. I frustratingly put everything back and figure I'll take her out for a spin just to feel good again. Start the car (who needs a working sunroof or a working radio for that matter with fabspeed bypasses) I try the roof just for fun and viola, the roof opens! What! The car needs to be running for the roof to work! SUNROOF PROBLEM SOLVED!
