Loose lug nuts?!

Two weeks ago I had the suspension on my 993 upgraded to Koni actives and MO33 springs. I've put about 1,000 miles on it since. LOVE IT.
Last night going to dinner I noticed a shudder in the front end. Found the left front lug nuts were so loose I could spin them by hand. Front right was loose too.
I would think the only way this could happen is if the tech did not torque them down properly. Am I wrong?

You're likely correct... I had this happen on our old GTI, I had swapped the winter tires and hadn't torqued the wheels. A few days later the car developed a front end clunk... live and learn

I would recommend checking the lug nut seats to confirm there is no damage from being loose.

BTDT, after swapping out the winter wheels a couple of months ago. I drove 3-4 miles (low speed), heard noise and stopped to investigate. I had forgotten to torque one front wheel.
