I am still trying to diagnose a funny sound coming from my car after the installation of monoballs. The sound is a sort of quaking sound. It seems to be speed related and also road surface related. It is as if the shock will hit a resonance at certain speeds on certain roads and travel up through the body of the car into the cabin. It does it very badly on graded roads before they put pavemet down if you know what I mean. It seems to be excacerbated by have a load in the front of the car. It does not happen on large bumps, only small ones it seems. It also does it on reflector in the middle of the road. It also seems to do it worse on the driver's side but it could also just be me hearing it more on that side. Any ideas guys? The car handles awesome and feels fine on the track.

It kind of sounds like aflack except a little higher pitched. I have the pss9s and the monoballs are on all 4 corner's shock top mounts. Could it be a spring jostling around a little?

my monoball on 993 with pss9 had pretty much zero noise.

I had a sound with my JIC's and monoballs until I went through and retorqued everything.
Turns out the top nut on the LF strut was 'barely' below torque but was allowing some movement that translated into a sort of knocking sound that I heard when the front suspension unloaded - like when I went over a speed bump (on the way down) or over potholes, etc.
I had to hold the shock in place with a shop towel and vise grips and then pop the top nut a couple of times with my impact wrench to tighten it up.
Since then - no more noise!
So I suspect something somewhere in your suspension or sway bars is slightly undertorqued.
