Default Exhaust trim rivets

So a couple of the rivets holding the small bit of trim to the underside of the bumper have given up and now I have this bit hanging down. Anyone done this repair? Suggestion on the right tool? Admittedly have never dealt with this type of fastener before.

I've never seen this trim piece before. My bumper just has the cutout for the exhaust. Maybe it is a widebody thing? Not sure but its definitely not on the NBs.

Yes, wide bodies only.

All you need is a "pop rivet" gun from Home Depot, Lowes or Amazon, etc. If you've never used one, just look on YouTube. Also, there is a washer that you'll need to use on the backside of the bumper that prevents the rivet from pulling through the plastic bumper material.

Mine are just held on by small screws (probably not original) but they've held up fine.

Hi SGOGT4,
As a follow-up to boomboomthump's reply, consider using matching pop-rivet backup washers on the back side of the bumper cover to distribute the clamping force across the plastic a little. Will make for a much more durable attacment. Not using backing washers may be why the original rivets pulled out.
