Decided to refresh my black brake calipers and wheel bolts.....first time for this car.....used high temp black and gloss spray paints........about 4 hours work allowing for paint to dry and multiple coats.....did not remove calipers......happy with results as originals were quite dull and blemished.....wheel bolts really came out great.....
Porsche logos were in good shape so just used gloss spray and taped them when using black paint on other areas......multiple coats, quick drying paint..VHT SP370 gloss and Jenolite black Caliper paint - Amazon...
While wheels were off, cleaned the insides as best as possible with Griot's products and measured brake pad thickness (10mm rear, 8mm fronts), so good shape there...... Jacked up... bolts look better now....
DULL Cleaned and dried with rubbing alcohol cover up protection better while drying came out great done done done done
Very nice. I was going to do my red calipers to eliminate the "pink spots" but found a paint brush applied coat of clear high temp paint on the offending spots completely restored the original red colour. Over a decade old and still perfect.
