I'm looking for a referral to have a PPI performed on a car I'm looking at in the Dayton, OH area. Any recommendations?
The car is a '94 RS America and has been modified for track use & some racing. My intention is to initially use the car for track/DE events and maybe racing some day (negotiations with my wife are still underway).
I will be taking another look at the car on Wednesday and if all looks well would like to arrange a PPI.
Thanks for the help.
Rick.

If the owner will deliver it for the PPI, Foreign Exchange owned by a fellow by the name of Rick Relich is dependable and well thought of by the Porsche Owners here in Dayton. Many that are past warranty work use him for everything from custom to regular maintenance. He has a web site at www.foreignx.com ph (937) 298-3456. He also works on Ferraris, BMWs, and does a lot of work for some of the pro and amature race drivers for Mid Ohio etc. He has one mechanic that is certified Porsche mech that did a couple of PPI's for me and found things I didn't see on the vehicles. Worth a shot and I can't think of any other I could recommend here.

Rick,
I sent you a private email. If you head a bit farther south there are several of the top Porsche mechanics in the country with lots of race experience. Give me a ring and I can get you their #'s/

Rick,
I have had great experiences with Beechmont Porsche in Cincinnati. Gentlemen named David Profitt is the service manager, they are honest and I beleive quite dependable.
Another top place in Cincinnati is called German motor Cars, owner Forry Hargitt is excellent and VERY knowledgeable
Good luck

Rick,
Personally I'd choose Stuttgart Automotive
in Centerville. I've heard lots of good things
about Foreign X too.
Whatever you do, avoid
Austin Imports in Springboro, I've had bad expieriances with them... Thats just me
though. Ray at Stuttgart is very knowledgable
and I'm one very happy customer as he made both
of my Porsches finally run RIGHT.
Anyways, good luck and I hope your new toy
passes the PPI in flying rs colors

I too have to recommend Stuttgart Automotive in Ceneterville, Ohio. Ray and his son, and Mike really know their stuff! Nothing but good to say about Ray's abilities. He probably can rebuild any Porsche engine in his sleep. Ray, himself, used to be head mechanic on the racing circuit.
