Porsche 993 RSK 4.0 driven by Chris Harris...
"Today, it feels like you can’t open YouTube or open a magazine without hearing about yet another resto-modded Porsche 911, so it takes something really special to attract our attention, and to get Chris Harris embracing a new and arguably more stylish persona just to get behind the wheel.
That’s where Tuthill’s latest creation, the RSK, comes in. Based on a 993-generation 911 RS, it has been fully restored from bare metal, is finished in the wonderful Ferrari colour of Verde Francesca, and most importantly, is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six with four-valve heads derived from those fitted to the ballistic, 11,000rpm Tuthill 911K.
The result is a sub-1,200kg stunner with an 8,000rpm redline, which is reported to have a better power-to-weight ratio than the current 992-generation 911 GT3, while remaining surprisingly approachable thanks to its billet callipers with carbon-ceramic brakes, Tuthill’s adjustable dampers, and an advanced electric power steering system.
As tradition dictates, Chris puts the RSK through its paces on a slightly damp circuit, before exploring its capabilities on the road, and entering the parallel dimension of ‘Crankshaft 1996’. Will this be ‘just’ another mega-bucks 911 with a few modern touches, or has Tuthill pulled it out of the bag yet again? Watch the film to find out..."
...thanks to Chris Harris and the teams at Richard Tuthill and Porsche!
