Diagnostic software
I have purchased the Tore diagnostic tool
for a 993 OBD1 system but with OBD2 connector, using it with the Rennlist software.
Unfortunately I have the drive block system which is blocking the connection to the DME. I am aware of several possible work arounds but cannot find them, anyone in possession of or can give me a link to them please.

Hi BarcoBird
Straightforward, press the remote to unlock the car, put the key in the ignition in the accessory position or just start the car and let it run. Then attach the reader. Some cable/software combinations have trouble making a software handshake to the reader on the first or second try. Also, a dirty OBD Socket or plug can influence the reliability of the connection so cleaning it with spray electronic cleaner can help.
