Mike just kidding you may be in the throws of a coffee downer!!
I don't drink coffee. I'm in the throws of my fist PCA autocross yesterday (I will withold my comments, but when a Miata does 2nd best time of the day, it brings a lot of thoughts from a P-crowd, most priceless of which belongs to a guy I've raced with for 5 years and a good acquaintance of mine: "Let's see.... ummm... ah, there's a Porsche that saved the day" as he sees the FTD car)
I thought it was a GT3 for some reason.

Damnit!!! F*cking people need to stop crashing their GT2's!!! I still want to buy one later on and now this makes it more expensive now to find one that hasn't been crashed and more rare too!!!! Perhaps I should settle for a 996TT X50 and then put GT2 front and rear body work to it....probably a lot safer too...

Just goes to show how good Porsche is making its cars nowadays. They crash head-on just like any other respectable car. Personally, I prefer not seeing what I'm going to hit

"Too much money and not enough sense"

When I was at the Rennsport, some guy took his street GT2 and raced it. The first day, second time on the track, he had to be towed in. He hit the armco.

Porsche is making these cars faster and easier to take to the limit, unfortunatley, once past the limit many people don't have the experience to keep out of trouble.

I hope they are ok, the car isn't.

FWIW

It's got nothing to do with money..any when you're past the limit you're all ready in trouble,...and for the most part in the hands of lady luck. The "experience" should serve to keep you within the limits, or barely exceed them so it makes lady luck's task easier.

In a GT-2, the limit arrives at warp speed, leaving lots less time to take the corrective action that would be needed to counter-act the laws of physics.

Put another way, a little (throttle) goes a long way (fast) - push a little too hard and you're toast.

I bow down . to those who can truely handle all that a GT-2 can dish out.

Claimed speed before parking was 125 mph, sounds like he "almost pulled it off".

Yellow calipers as well. No question a GT2 or a very expensive imposter!
