Post Dashboard assembly

I'm trying to find some diagrams/text on how to disassemble a 993 dash. Would appreciate any info you have.

Thanks.

It is pretty easy really. You would have to start from the top and remove the windshield air vent. Then there are some screws if I remember correctly close to the vent and one on each side of the uppper part of the dash. Remove them and that should loosen the top part. The bottom part is pretty similar really, the only PITA I found is the passengers side airbag which has two pieces interlocking held by one screw on the upper right corner. Also be carefull with the side vents of the dash as they are of the pull out type, just be carefull not to break them as they are not very strong.
What exactly do you want to do???

Danny

I've got a few squeaks and rattles that are driving me a bit nuts and I thought a general explore a screw tightening session might be the answer!

A look at the dashboard diagram at "http://www.msroadrace.com" (click on the "key" & then go to "Group VIII") may be helpful.

Also, I remember posts suggesting that there is a screw behind the ashtray that when loosened & retightened provided some relief from dashboard noises - worth a try.

Thanks Danny...I've already been out for a preliminary session and every easily accessible screw had quite a bit of play in it. I'll wait for the weekend before starting the surgery.
