Rear deck antenna O.K. for XM reception?

Rear deck antenna O.K. for XM reception?
Guess many more folks will be using the satellite services for radio now. The 993 presents some challenges.
The XM or Sirius service specs call for an obtrusive external antenna. They look like a wart. No one seems to have asked the group about alternative mountings.
I am considering inside on the rear deck or use the glue on glass antenna? Anyone using these methods?
