FWIW, I have been reading all the old and newer threads abotu jacks, and really have not decided what is best. At the recommendation of the Snap-On dealer (he and the truck stopped by at the shop where I was having my car serviced and learning how to do some things, myself), I bought a jack at Costco. Seemingly a different one from the one described here, it was $69.95, weighs a ton, and has a 3.5 ton limit and 4" height. Have not tried it yet, bet he said it is the same jack he sells for far more $$, so I will try it.
