This Harbor Freight OBDII code reader (Creader) was recommended here - it is currently on sale in HF for $40. So, I got it and tried it - unfortunately it shows only one code out of three that Autozone guys extracted(from my Jetta) just couple days ago. Autozone one read 1255, 1128 and 0172, while this reader showed only 0172.
In the brochure, which came with the reader, neither 1255 nor 1128 are mentioned in the list of the codes description neither.
I'm going to return this reader and try some other one.
Wanted to let you know guys.

For a late model Jetta, you may consider getting this http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/index.html
will pull a lot of non VW specific codes. I use it on my Audi. it does everything that the dealer (VAG tool) can

Sorry to hear that Alex - I have the same one and it pulls all the codes off my Range Rover (and it throws a lot of them), no problem. I guess for $40, it has it's limitations...
