Has anyone ever tried to install the M490 Hi-Fi stereo option in a 993 which had the base stereo system? Is the job to big for the slight improvement in the sound quality? I have looked into it from the wiring aspect, but I am wondering how to run the wires to under the passenger seat where the amp is located. Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated

Do not waste your time nor money "upgrading" to the hi-fi option. It's best to talk to Rod at the above mentioned site and put some worthwhile sound equipment in your car. Many folks with the Hi-Fi option, myself included, have invested in Rod's equipment for true sound improvement.
