LWF – What is it and install….

Hey JD/Greg..!!!
OK - JD - when you get set to drop the engine - BUT - you pay airfare and BEER fare WARNING: I can drink a LOT of beer...!! Also - if you need the part number, I can look it up later, but it should be listed as "release bearing guide". It should also be included with a kit. The kit is comprised of flywheel, pres. plate, disc, ring gear, release bearing, release bearing guide, pilot bearing, flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts. Also get a crank seal if it's not included, OK?
Hey Greg!!! Yep..! My guess is that many, if not most mechanics do it. It's extra insurance for no added cost. That being said, a few years ago, I was in the midst of another rebuild and had the chance to spend some time with some of the folks at PMS who were supporting the Racer's Group. Anyway - 24 hours in the pits is a long time to chat - so I was talking about the rebuild. When I asked him if I needed to use Loctite - he gave me the "Alien from Mars" look (if you've met some of the PMS guys - you'll know what I mean ..
Again - thanks!!! - now I just want to get it back in and running!!!!
Now - if I can only remember where I put the RS mounts??!!!

I had this done on my '95 RS yesterday. the specialist who fitted it left the engine in place and wheeled the gearbox away on a trolley jack. It was easier with two of us to align the box back into place, but was all done in about 6 hours.
The car is fine once moving and feels like a 10% power hike! Just not very happy with the noise at idle and the coffee grinder effect up to 2k rpm.
