Post Slotted rotors for 993?

Are slotted rotors available for the 993? Granted they don't look as good, but my understanding is that they equal the performance of drilled rotors but with less of a heat stress cracking problem.

I've never seen them advertised for the 993, and have wondered if there was a particular reason.

TIA

The research I did on this about a year ago was that regular carrera brakes only had OEM cross drilled. If you have big reds you could get cross drilled, slotted, or both.

Chip:

All of the OEM Brembo rotors come with the cast-in holes. The only slotted rotors that you might buy would be either racing rotors from AP and Alcon or some racing Brembos, and all of these require a custom billet hat for these cars.

These will be FAR more expensive than the OEM rotors.

From what I’ve heard, this is correct. Slotted rotors will actually give slightly better performance due to greater surface area and they are less prone to cracking. However, drilled rotors are lighter, cool the rotors better, and are easier on brake pads.

OK, thanks guys. I'll put slotted rotors out of my head now.
