Edward, didnt mean to bum you out. Your diff is probably just fine! Drain your oil and have a look. be sure to check your drain plug for bits. The fine sludge on the drain plug magnet is completely normal..

Worse comes to worse, I can help you with your diff since your are not far from me

Only clutch based LSD's will spin the wheels in the same direction when in neutral, a Torsen will act like an open diff with both wheels in the air (that is, tires will spin in opposite direction). I dont know what type of LSD the 993's would come with...so this is just an FYI.
