Immobilizer issues
Got caught driving through flooded streets. Immobilizer started going nuts and eventually disabled car. Exiting car on an incline, door swung shut and immobilizer locked me out. Eventually used key to gain access and disconnected the battery. Quite a bit of water invasion under passenger seat. Toweled out area, now, a hairdryer blowing underneath right seat area and checking for blown fuses. What else should I be looking at or checking before I try and restart?
HI PD,
You need to disconnect the battery and pull all the controllers under both seats including the Motronic ignition, remote immobilizer, and alarm controllers some are covered by the theft shield whose fasteners will need to be drilled out. They need to be opened up and their internals blown dry and then sprayed with CRC QD Electronic cleaner or another electronic cleaner to displace any remaining internal moisture. Although a pain in the butt to do, it will eliminate future issues that if left wet will be very expensive to fix.

Thank you, Andy! I did all that and got rid of most of the issues, however central locking system still does not work and have identified it as a waterlogged central locking module, under the passenger seat. 928 618 260.02. Apparently replaced by .03? Going to check with the local Porsche parts tomorrow and will attempt to open this unit up for a looksee now.
